By now, you might not be surprised to learn that each chakra has a distinct sound, as well. These are the inner sounds of the chakras, which may be experienced in deep meditation, inwardly, and can be spiritually helpful to listen to.

	The sounds for each chakra are:
	<ul style="margin-bottom: 1.25rem;">
		<li>First chakra: A bumblebee sound, or (imperfectly) like a motor</li>
		<li>Second chakra: A flute, or water flowing over rocks in a stream</li>
		<li>Third chakra: A stringed instrument such as a harp or vina</li>
		<li>Fourth chakra: A deep gong or bell</li>
		<li>Fifth chakra: The sound of wind in the trees, soothing and expansive</li>
		<li>Sixth chakra: A combination of all the sounds, similar to a roaring ocean and very close to the sound of AUM itself</li>
	</ul>

	One way to awaken the chakras through the power of sound is to chant the sacred mantra of AUM at each chakra.
	Begin with G below middle C for the first chakra; A for the second; then B-flat, D, and E-flat for the next three; F for the medulla oblongata; and G above middle C for the spiritual eye.
